Ajay is a lawyer with over 18 years’ experience in helping business clients with their company and commercial legal needs.
His extensive experience covers a broad range of areas such as corporate and company law, commercial contracts, technology, digital, outsourcing, procurement, regulatory and compliance (e.g. data protection and competition), dispute resolution, intellectual property, brand and trademark protection.
During his career, Ajay has held senior positions such as head of the company and commercial department at a regional law firm and, more recently, as a principal company and commercial lawyer in industry.
Key Experience
Negotiated several high value (£2M – £50M) international commercial / technology / digital contracts.
Main legal adviser on a number of large business critical technology projects including digital transformation projects and digital communications projects.
Directed a multi-group GDPR compliance project leading a team of 25.
Led on a complex £78M corporate finance deal.
Principal company legal adviser to the board of an investment company (with investments under management of @£150 million).
Managed the negotiation of several multi-million pound investment management agreements.
Lobbied institutions on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (free trade agreement) between the EU and the US.
Spearheaded activities to protect corporate reputation, brand and intellectual property.
Resolved a £500K contract claim.
Advised on several acquisitions and disposals of private companies and businesses, corporate reconstructions, joint ventures, private equity, shareholder agreements, corporate lending and security, commercial contracts, IP/IT and ecommerce matters.
Flexible and competitive fees
We offer flexible and competitive fee rates and, in many cases, we will be more than happy to agree a charging structure that works for you.
This can be based on either (or a combination of):
- The time we spend on a particular matter which we will give you an estimate of beforehand (based on our hourly rates)
- A fixed fee for a particular matter as agreed by you and us or
- The value you receive from the work or service we provide, the pricing for which we would agree with you up-front.
There are other pricing options also available which we would be happy to explore with you such as phased fees, milestone fees, success fees or portfolio-based fees and retainers.
